slipping his shades over his eyes, jensen made his way dwn the front stps and towards the car. both he and boyd had wanted a text of skill. not like they didn't do that every weekend but this time was different. a small smirk was starting to cross his lips as jensen thought about alld the times he had shown boyd up. maybe it was fifty fifty he didn't really know but you got the idea right? climbing into his suv he slammed the door shut and slipped the key into the ignition. the sun was out, it was rather warm and jensen knew that it was going to be one of those days. thankfully he didn't have work. at least not until tuesday. a threw day weekend, it was more than anyone could have ever asked for right? revving the engine he pulled out of the drive and headed towards the park they had both chosen.

the more jensen thought about it, the more he wished he had grabbed a cup of coffee after getting up this morning. okay so when he had woken up, he might have made a pot of coffee and sure he might have poured himself a mug but he had forgotten all about it when he had gone to do his hair. whenever he was around boyd he liked to look good. not because he fancied the guy, but hey it gave jensen an advantage. or at least he thought anyway. it didn't matter by the end of the day boyd was going to buy him dinner because jensen will have outdone him and that'll be the end of that.

the two were almost as bad as holmes and watson. they almost matched the reputation.

thankfully though it hadn't taken too much longer before jensen pulled into a park and cut the engine. the park land was extensive and they'd be able to find some ground where they could just go and do their own thing without being bothered by people. not that jensen was a big name at all. well really it wasn't like jensen as famous at all, he was more just a name through out around and people just didn't know his face. either way he was happy with that. it made walking down to the corner store at least a little more easier. opening the door he grabbed the ball before heading over to the a nice patch of grass with a bench and a tree hovering above it. it hadn't really taken all too long before jensen spotted boyd heading towards him. "well look at you." his smirk turning into a bright smile, tossing the ball around in his hands.

note: i'm so sorry this took so long and that isn't not as good as i had hoped. next time will be better <3

Do you remember standing on a broken field
White crippled wings beating the sky The harbingers of war with their nature revealed And our chances flowing by If I can let the memory heal I will remember you with me on that field When I thought that I fought this war alone You were there by my side on the frontline When I thought that I fought without a cause You gave me a reason to try Turn the page I need to see something new For now my innocence is torn We cannot linger on this stunted view Like rabid dogs of war ------------

Most people didn't put hair gel in before they went for a work out but then again most people didn't have an eternal competition of Jensen Baxter. And Jensen had the sort of charisma that could probably charm your pants off. In fact he didn't doubt that at all. With his hair in place and his normal breakfast of red bull and jelly beans in hand he was ready to go. No matter how often he was brutalized for his eating habits, he was never going to change. If there was anything he needed to keep up right now it was energy, and not the nice slow release energy that he knew was better for him but the "10 year old after a galleon of red cordial" type of energy.

As he pulled up, he wondered if he was first. He found it was best to get a head start wherever possible, particularly since he was down on the tally card. You would have thought after all this time they would have lost track of who was on top but with these two, nothing was ever forgotten and EVERYTHING was a competition.

The park was empty bar a few early risers like themselves. It was a nice morning, sun shining but not too warm. It always surprised him at how many people chose to stay in bed or go to sit in a fluorescently lit cafes when it was so beautiful outdoors. Growing up in New York he'd learnt to appreciate nature where he could find it. Sure sky scrapers were cool but there was nothing like the open air and beach front living. How could anything really top it ?

He spotted Jensen from across the park, surprised not to see him up a tree somewhere testing how fast he could get to the top or something equally ridiculous. He was making his way over when he felt a tug at the back of his shirt. "Can I have your autograph please mister ?" whispered the adorable kid. He laughed and knelt down happily to sign the ball for him when he heard Jensen coming up behind him. "There you go buddy nice to meet you" he said passing the ball back and holding his hand up for a high five. He whipped his head back to Jensen's direction "Oh are you referring to the fact that people actually care about me ? or the fact that I look like a supermodel today ?" He grinned, throwing some fake punches Jensen's way. "So, you ready to get your ass handed to you on a platter this morning ?"
