welcome to the worlds two principal hubs of the business; new york city and los angeles california
– home to the stars and all the brilliance that makes up your daily entertainment. welcome to the
world of the modern day celebrity, an age in which everyone is beautiful, skeletal is the new fad
and the green is raked in like nobodies business. it’s the place where people are willing pay
thousands for your latest mug shots and fifty cents for your soul. academy award winning actors,
young starlets that party a bit too hard, artsy directors, vicious agents, struggling pa’s, and
invasive paparazzi are now all splitting their time between the two cities, struggling to
keep their personal boats of life afloat.
what is it truly like to be famous? to slip from the a list to the b list, to have your face on the
front cover of the latest rag mags? how does it feel to lose your private life in an instant, to be
hated and loved by millions all around the world? could you really handle the rumors and lies, the
constant scandals? how would you pick the true friends from all the fakes using you to boost
their own careers? when it comes to directing, do you really think you have the talent to produce
an award winning film? would it be possible to go without squandering your production budget?
could you face being an agent? would you have the power to stop others from snatching your
clients right from under your grasp? and what about working as a personal assistant? do
you have the nerve to take whatever is dished out in your direction? as a member of the
press, do you have what it takes to stalk and destroy with the perfect picture or article?
whoever you are, do you honestly think you’re in control of your life? whether you’re situated
in the big apple or the city of angels you’ll soon figure out that in hollywood its's always........TIME TO PRETEND!
if you need a bit of clarification, here it goes.
our roleplay is set in both los angeles and new york city and is based on the lives
of those who work in the entertainment industry such as actors, directors, agents,
the press, and personal assistants. this in no way a second generation hollywood
roleplay! we are made up of completely original characters who have no relation
to our modern day celebrities in the industry.
