The man is handsome, intelligent and has a smile that would make any woman and a good number of men, melt. And yet, for some reason or another, James Marsden just can't seem to win the girl. Why is that?

CAN JAMES MARDSEN EVER GET THE GIRL?

One of the only reasons I even watched 27 dresses was to see if he'd once again come out on the losing end - and 'lo and behold, no, it only takes a damn chick flick for him to finally score the girl! Poor guy *chuckles* I bet his agent's calls go something like this:
Agent: Ah, Jimmy, we've got a new role lined up for you, are you interested?
Marsden: Am I in or around the lead character role?
Agent: Yup.
Marsden: Is there a love interest for me?
Agent: Yup.
Marsden: Does it involve my character getting screwed over, big time, and in the end coming out with less than he started with, on basically all levels, including the apparently sure-as-hell love interest?
Agent: .. .. ..
Marsden: Well, does it?
Agent: If you put it that way ..
Marsden: *sighs* Aw hell, this isn't any different from about 99% of roles I've played before so .. *shrugs* book me in.

Ahh, but he probably doesn't mind it too much. When he doesn't get the girl, the women watching the movie think "Aww, how sad. Poor Jimmy." So that could probably work for him. It works for me!

LOL I never realized he never got the girl in most of his movies. Poor James Marsden. I mean, I find Hugh Jackman phenomenally, wolf man hotter but James Marsden is definitely the good guy you'd bring home to mom, as Jean Grey once sort of said in X2 heh.

Though there was that movie "Disturbing Behavior" where technically he got the girl at the end but it was Katie Holmes so...::vomits:: it's not much of a win .

I have yet to see 27 Dresses, and though I'm not often a big fan of chic flicks that one did look funny. I do like the line in the trailer,

Kathryn Heigl: "You're like any other guy, trying to come off as all sexy and mysterious."
James Marsden: ::Blinks and grins:: Did you just call me sexy?

Heheh.

Though he's also in that new movie "The Box" which I think he's supposed to be married to Cameron Diaz, so I guess he already has the girl in that one. But it IS Cameron Diaz, and it looks like a horror/suspense/thriller type movie so those never bode well for relationships .

Yeah... not to spoil the movie or anything, but believe me when I say that his streak regarding women continues in THE BOX as well...

All I know is it can't be good for the self-esteem. He has to be wondering... "What is about me that makes directors and writers and casting agents wants to screw over my characters almost EVERY SINGLE TIME?"

Ah don't worry about ruining the movie, I don't really plan on seeing it. And besides, it is Cameron Diaz, so again, not much of a win heh.

Was The Box any good?

Hey, I like Cameron Diaz. She's fun.

As for the movie... Honestly... I don't know. I didn't hate it... but I didn't like it. I kinda walked out going "That... was a movie. Yessir... it was a movie." Its just left you feeling kinda emotionally awkward at the end.

Eh, Cameron Diaz has just always kind of bothered me. I have a thing with most actresses in Hollywood heh. I've never really seen one in a movie that like, glues me to my seat etc. Like most of the movies I love are mainly male casts, LOTR, Sunshine, Glory, Amadeus etc.

I swear I was supposed to be a guy lol.

::Nods:: So emotionally awkward lol, I'll make sure to remember that, just in case anyone's like, "Hey, wanna go see The Box" this weekend or something . I'm personally excited to go see "The Fourth Kind" now that shit looks insane! There's no James Marsden but there is Mila Jojovich who's usually an entertaining time.

Heheh and I can't help but quote "The Fifth Element", "Chicken...good!"

No... clearly you're the proper gender if all you care about is seeing all male casts.

If you had been intended to be a guy, you wouldn't care about Cameron Diaz's acting ability, but would instead been fixated on how she looks in a bikini and be glued to your seat for that reason alone.

Well... unless you were supposed to be a gay guy... and even then you'd probably have a good number of female actress that you love, because they're fabulous in some way or another.

LOL well I'm glad that we have my gender down pat .

I think I just can't stand most women heh . And indeed, if I could look like Cameron Diaz in a bikini, that'd be sweet heh.
